Ava Skrocki Ferree is no stranger to aerial silks. She grew up surrounded by fabric hanging in nearly every room of her home, watching her mother’s journey from a beginner to an expert aerialist. Along the way, Ava witnessed not only her mother’s physical growth and dedication to mastering the art, but also the growth of a thriving business.

From a young age, Ava sat in on her mother’s aerial classes as a student, often thinking, “That’s going to be me one day.” With her natural athletic ability and strong drive to succeed, aerial silks quickly became something perfectly suited for her.

​

Ava has always been competitive and committed to personal growth. She spent years playing travel ball and competing in a variety of sports, including soccer, taekwondo, weightlifting, boxing, running, competitive cheer, and gymnastics. She continues to stay active through physical education at school and serves as a lead flight instructor at her studio. She has also competed in the advanced category of Aerial Silks for Aerialympics and has mastered some of the most challenging skills taught here at Ferree Aerial Silks including; Angel Roll Up, Windmill, numerous split balances, straight arm inverts, drops and more! Currently, she attends Prosser, where she is studying criminal justice with the goal of becoming a private investigator.

While Ava enjoys creative outlets such as art, writing, hair, makeup, and nails, she is never afraid to put in hard work or get her hands dirty. Although she grew up around aerial silks and has always known that world, she is now beginning to form her own identity within it. Through her experiences, she has built meaningful connections and is realizing the true impact of her role.

Ava understands how fortunate she is to have the opportunity to be a role model. Younger students look up to her, which motivates her to continually improve her skills and develop qualities that will benefit her for a lifetime. She knows that no matter where life takes her, she will always have the support of both her family and her aerial silks community to fall back on.
