From Student to Instructor: 

​Every aerial journey begins with a single climb—but for Kailey Browning, that first step onto the silks became the start of something much bigger.

​

Kailey began her aerial journey in 2021 at the age of 14 with Ferree Aerial Silks and Arisa as her coach, mentor, friend and later colleague.

 

Growing up locally and later graduating from Floyd Central High School, she always had a strong connection to both creativity and movement. Her favorite subject, English, reflected her thoughtful and expressive nature, while her involvement in dance and performance shaped her discipline and drive.

A Foundation in Performance

​Before discovering aerial silks, Kailey built an impressive 10-year background in dance, including:

With years of experience in competitive environments, she was no stranger to pressure, structure, and performance expectations.

​

Discovering a New Path

​When Kailey joined Ferree Aerial Silks, she found something refreshingly different.

​

Aerial silks offered her a calmer, more supportive, and non-competitive environment—a space where growth wasn’t measured by scores, but by personal progress. It became a place where she could slow down, reconnect with movement, and build confidence on her own terms, while still choosing to explore competition outside the studio in a way that felt right for her.

Rising Through Dedication

​Kailey’s commitment and passion quickly set her apart. Through consistent training, determination, and a willingness to learn, she continued to grow both as an athlete and as a leader.

​

By the age of 19, she had become Arisa Ferree’s right-hand assistant. Through extensive and ongoing training, Kailey developed the skills and knowledge needed to step into a larger role within the studio.

​

Today, she is proud to serve as one of Ferree Aerial Silks’ lead flight instructors, helping guide and inspire the next generation of students—just as she was once inspired.

​

Passion with Purpose

​Beyond the studio, Kailey is also pursuing a meaningful and impactful career path. She is currently studying mortuary science with the goal of becoming a funeral director.

​

While this path may seem very different from aerial arts, both share a common thread: compassion, presence, and the ability to support others during important moments in their lives.
