Showcase Attire
Hair and makeup
There are a wide variety of performance attire options, including:
Leotards and unitards
Figure skating and gymnastics outfits
Dance costumes and specialty performance wear
Unitards Full-body coverage (arms and legs) or sleeveless with legs covered
Leotards with skirts (short or long)
Two-piece performance outfits (may include cutouts or exposed areas that need to be covered with full body tights underneath)
All students must wear tights underneath their costume:
Full-body Capezio/tights are required any costumes that have sides, back or stomach exposed
Recommended options:
Full coverage body tights or normal tights (flesh tone or preferred color)
Transitional, footless, or stirrup tights required
Heels and toes must be exposed
❌ Socks are not permitted
Costume Rentals
A costume rack will be available in the studio several weeks prior to showcase
Rental fee: $40
$30 refund will be issued when costumes are returned within 2 weeks of the studio reopening

If ordering from a website that requires studio owners to make the order, students must pay for shipping and handling and any service fee or charges. Same applies for returns. No orders will be placed 2 weeks prior to showcase dates
Important Preparation Tips
Students should order their performance attire several weeks in advance.
This allows time to:
Ensure proper fit and comfort
Practice routines in costume
Check that skirts or fabric do not catch on the silks or get caught
Make any necessary adjustments or exchanges
It is often helpful to order multiple options and return what doesn’t work.
⚠️ Last-minute alterations or changes are strongly discouraged.
We want all students confident and fully prepared ahead of time.
Hair Guidelines
Hair must be securely styled in:
Bun or braids
Double buns or double braided buns
Single braid or double Dutch braids
❌ Long ponytails are not permitted
LED Lights (Required)
LED lights are our signature showcase look and are required.
Available for purchase in the studio for $3
Hair nets are highly recommended
Application Tips:
Battery packs can be tucked into the bun or braid
Use hair pins to place lights
Use bobby pins to secure lights
Cover with a hair net to keep everything in place and resecure with bobby pins
Makeup Guidelines (Recommended)
Makeup is optional but strongly encouraged:
Use darker, more defined makeup (blush, eyeshadow, lipstick/gloss)
Stage lighting can wash out facial features
False eyelashes are optional
✨ Glitter & Sparkle (Optional)
We love all things glittery and sparkly!
Face glitter is optional (a little goes a long way)
Use skin-safe glue
Optional additions:
Face jewels (around eyes or forehead)
Glitter accents
Glitter tattoos (back, arms, hands, or feet)

Day of Showcase Requirements
Students must arrive:
Fully dressed in performance attire
Hair and makeup complete
LED lights in place
